AMPCo is a fully owned subsidiary of the Australian Medical Association. With an established reputation for producing leading-edge health care information, AMPCo’s vision is to provide "better health through communication".
The Medical Journal of Australia (MJA) publishes the latest Australian clinical research, evidence-based reviews and debate on the important issues affecting Australian health care. The MJA was first published in 1914, and is ranked in the top 30 general medical journals in the world. The MJA is Australia’s leading medical journal and is an official publication of the Australian Medical Association (AMA).
Online, the MJA website holds an archive of complete issues from 2002, and further selected articles going back to 1996.

MJA Careers is the employment publication of the MJA, the highest circulating of its kind, and is distributed to more than 50,000 doctors nationally, via print, web, email and e-mag (on both the MJA website and InSight websites). Employment ads also appear on the MJA website, which generates over 350,000 page impressions every month.

MJA Supplements focus on key areas of health care, are peer reviewed, and may be commissioned by sponsors.

The Medical Directory of Australia (MDA) was first published in 1935. The MDA has been Australia’s premier medical directory for over 60 years. MDA Online was launched in 2010 and contains the most accurate and comprehensive medical database, with over 70,000 practitioner and facility records. It is a unique specialist resource for the Australian medical/health care and pharmaceutical sectors.

AMPCo Data Direct owns Australia’s most accurate and comprehensive lists of doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and other health professionals and institutions. It rents or licences these lists so people and organisations can communicate with doctors and other health care professionals. AMPCo Data Direct also has expertise in direct mail processing, databasing and fulfilment services.

MJA InSight launched in July 2010. This free eNewsletter delivers a weekly overview of the most important developments in medicine in a quick and user-friendly online format. Each week, InSight offers the latest views from opinion makers, the best of the MJA’s high-quality medical content, wrap-ups of health-related events, health news, blogs and reader feedback.

MasterLink is AMPCo Data Direct’s user-friendly CD software, which clients can use to market to health professionals. With MasterLink, you can search using multiple selection criteria, profile health professionals, make notes on entries, create campaigns, search for notes and campaigns, and download files for direct mail programs and other marketing applications.

The MJA Online Bookshop offers a wide selection of titles across all publishers and provides the time-poor medical professional the opportunity to purchase items from several publishers at the one site. AMA members and students are given a 10% discount, and purchases in multiple quantities by health organisations also attract a discount. The shop is also the online portal where subscribers can purchase subscriptions to either the MJA or the MDA Online.
